The Isaacson One-Name Study

The Isaacson One-Name Study grew out of research undertaken by Tony Fuller and Jenny Law into Jenny Law's maternal family, her mother having been born Mary Isaacson.  Following the death of a relative after which material relating to the family came into their possession, they were able to organise an international on-name study, mainly researching the Isaacsons families in London, Suffolk and Cambridgeshire in the UK.

They are working on a database which currently has over six thousand names of Isaacsons and their descendants.  Of these over 2,400 are descended from a marriage between William IZATSON and Alice TYMINS in Suffolk in 17??.

One line of Jenny Law's family is the
Isaacsons of Exning, a small village in Suffolk although many of her relatives were born, lived and worked in what was Persia where many married into the Armenian community.

The studies they have written have stemmed from the one-name study, which is registered with the Federation of Family History Societies in England.
